Crepe bandages are intended to provide light compression and support as well as fixation and dressing retention in post-operative and post-traumatic usage. Application fields include:  Light support in the treatment of minor soft tissue and joint injuries (e.g. sprains, strains)  Light compression (e.g. in edema management to reduce effusion and swelling)  Secure dressings (e.g. when treating wounds) or fixation (e.g. of casts or splints) The bandages are applied on intact skin only. Wounds have to be treated before by using an appropriate wound dressing.
